The Galata Tower stands tall in Istanbul, built by the Genoese during the 14th century. It was constructed on the city walls of Galata, marking the highest point of their territory at the time. This historic tower has watched over the city for centuries, witnessing the many changes and stories of Istanbul.

Views Across Istanbul

Visitors can ride an elevator most of the way up and then climb two flights of stairs to reach the top. A walk along the parapet offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of Istanbul. The entire Sultanahmet peninsula comes into sight, with impressive landmarks such as the Topkapı Palace, the Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia all visible from this vantage point. The Galata Tower provides a beautiful setting for photographs, capturing both the city’s history and its vibrant present.
