Kyiv Fortress

The Kyiv Fortress is a 19th-century defensive structure that was originally part of the western Russian fortress system. Built to protect the region, these solid stone buildings have seen many different uses over the years.

A Mix of Old and New

Partly Hidden Underground

The original design of the Kyiv Fortress is partly underground, with tunnels and rooms built into the earth.
