Mémorial de la Shoah

The Holocaust Memorial, which opened its doors in January 2005, stands as an important center for documenting history. At its core, the memorial features a wall inscribed with the names of 76,000 Jews who were deported from France to Nazi camps between 1942 and 1944.

A Vast Archive of Memories

The memorial houses an extensive archive containing around one million artefacts. Among these are 55,000 photographs, each serving as a powerful reminder of individual lives and stories from this period. The documentation centre works to preserve these memories and provide visitors with access to historical material.

Excursions to Historical Sites

From the memorial, excursions are organized to locations such as Drancy, a former French internment camp. These guided visits help to further illuminate the historical events connected to the Holocaust in France and the experiences of those who were affected.
